GrameenPhone (GP) provides the opportunity to browse some website for totally free - you can browsie the sites even if your account balance is zero. They are:
- www.grameenphone.com: browse any information you need regarding GrameenPhone (GP), it's new offers, package prices and details, internet prices and details, mobile phone prices and details, SIM card prices and details. It's totally free. And documents and images that are available on this site are also free to download.
- wap.gpworld.com: browsing this site is free. Free content are also free to download. But don't click on contents that are not free. You may browse this site only for knowing which new song, game, picture is available online and then download that from another website for free.
- www.gpcic.org: GPCIC is a very informative website. It is a website about informative websites. When we browse online for various information and entertainment we browse or search randomly without knowing which site contains which information, which site can give better information. On gpcic they have listed and described websites of various categories both Desi and international.
- mini.opera.com: browsing and downloading from mini.opera.com is full free. Why do you waste your bandwidth and money for downloading various versions of Opera Mini. Download it free through a GrameenPhone (GP) SIM card.

On which package is it free?
It is free with every package from P1 to P7. If you don't have any package just send a message to 5000 writing P1. Subscribing to a package is also free.
Cautions and Tricks
Some other websites may also be free to browse. I don't know them.
On these free sites there are links to other sites. If you click on them those site are not free. If your package is not pay-as-you-go like P1 then check address/url info before you click on them. Except that you have no money losing risks.
Whenever I need to browse those site I use a SIM that has zero balance. I send 'P1' sms to 5000 first and after I have done browsing I cancel the package immediately by sending 'Cancel' sms to 5000. I often go to "www.grameenphone.com/whats-new" when they shows new offer on television. For example a few days ago they started a new package named Spondon and no details on television, so I browsed the site for free to know the details.
To browse those sites free, you must browse with a browser that directly connect to websites instead of using an intermediate server. For example, built in browsers of mobiles, OperaMobile (NOT OperaMini), PC web browsers like Internet Explorer, FireFox, etc. directly connect to any websites. On the other hand Opera Mini, Bolt, etc. uses an intermediate server to become faster. And if you browse mentioned sites or any sites then the sites can't see your real IP address, instead they see the address provided by the intermediate server aka proxy. So if you or your browser uses an intermediate server or a proxy then GP won't be able to recognise you resulting in shrinking your balance (if using Pay As You Go package) or bandwidth.
